Baldwin Ngo

Baldwin is the founder of Muirlands. He provides guidance and recommendations on content for the writers. He built this website as a passion project, fueled by his love of the outdoors and camping. His most memorable experience was accidentally locking the car keys in the trunk in Mojave Desert. With not much water or food, he and his friend had to smash the car window to access the trunk. Baldwin graduated with a bachelors in electrical engineering, currently working as an antenna design engineer. He hopes to completely decouple himself from the corporate lifestyle eventually.

Roni Matienzo

Roni is an avid solo traveler, writer, and backpacker. She has hiked solo and in groups, got lost alone on the last day of a multi-day hike, and lived to hike some more. Someday, she'll get to see the Everest Base Camp, even if it’s from a distance.

Jack Hauen

Jack is a freelance writer and backpacking fiend. He can often be found in the Algonquin backcountry, wheezing through a portage that looked smaller on the map.

Keri-Beth Clur

Keri-Beth has been loving the outdoors since she was a child. While it started with playing in her parents’ garden, it’s ended up with her husband and herself exploring the beautiful country of South Africa that they live in. She's an avid camper and a keen hiker. But most importantly, she's a lover of life and the world we get to experience. She's constantly learning new things about the world, and writing about the outdoors is her favorite way of helping others do the same.
